DMCA Notice & Copyright Policy
DevPluseOSS respects intellectual property rights and adheres strictly to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and international IP treaties.
Nominative Fair Use & Factual Data Doctrine (Feist v. Rural)
DevPluseOSS (accessible at https://devpluseoss.com) operates strictly as a factual engineering index and software telemetry engine. We index publicly available metadata—including GitHub star counts, fork statistics, repository size, commit frequency, and license declarations (SPDX identifiers)—originating from open-source repositories licensed under OSI-approved licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD, GPL, AGPL, MPL, etc.).
Under the United States Supreme Court precedent established in Feist Publications, Inc. v. Rural Telephone Service Co., 499 U.S. 340 (1991), purely factual data and raw compilation metrics are non-copyrightable facts. Furthermore, all third-party product names, logos, and trademarks displayed on this platform are used solely under the doctrine of Nominative Fair Use to accurately identify the specific software tools and their respective commercial alternatives.
